  1. Check out the builds section in the garage forum, I have the EPI clutch setup but there is another one offered by Dalton that I may try. As you go larger and heavier tires your machine gets more sluggish and you spend more time in low range. The clutch kits change the bottom end response big time. I have the Monster EFI that works well as well as pin locker in the front, again all in the builds section.πŸ™‚
  2. Welcome to the forum, enjoy the new machine. A good place to start is on the home page forums, down to can am defender garage and than to defender builds, many write ups on builds and installs of accessories etc.πŸ™‚
  3. I mounted 30x10x14 Cryptids on the front and 30x11x14 on the back on stock rims (the 10" are a bit taller than the 11" but no noticeable effect in 4x4 and the extra width helps in the soft and deep stuff). The thread is on this forum go to the forums/can am defender garage/defender builds and 3rd from the bottom on page 1. There are other builds there with different types and sizes of tires that you may find helpful. Everyone has their own idea of what they want so no one choice is exactly the right one for you. Depending on your intended use highway/rocks/muskeg you can choose the tire you want and can run much lower tire pressures in the sand/muskeg etc to help with ride etc. I have posted my choice of clutch kit and the results, as well as reflashing the ECM for better response and power. πŸ™‚
  4. They should fit the rim no problem, I have the full fender flares and no problem, the odd time when you are turning sharply and are crossing deep ruts you may hear a very short rub but no sign or damage. Details are in this thread if you want to check it out.2019 DEFENDER XT HD 10 CAB LIFT AND 30" TIRES πŸ™‚
  5. The shims can be bought in different thickness so I suggest you buy a couple to save a trip.πŸ™‚
  6. Check the weight of the tire vs stock heavier rotating weight equals lower top speed, more time in low range and clutch work but they look cool. Check out the builds sectionπŸ™‚.
  7. If you need the procedure to adjust the back lash I can post it tomorrowπŸ™‚.
  8. You have to set the back lash with shims, you may have to purchase from the dealerπŸ™‚.
  9. Welcome to the forum, parts for the Defender are readily available from the Dealer so depending where you locate they shouldn't be a problem. As far as pricing it is what it is and I am waiting on a new pickup truck and the wait from time of order to delivery is 14-16 weeks.πŸ™‚
  10. Check out the builds section, you may find some more useful information. As stated above too much lift will cause the front axles to bind when the machine is going through some rough side to side stuff.πŸ™‚ ,
  11. Have a look in the builds section there should be plenty of threads on LED s etc.πŸ™‚ Beamtech, Alpha etc.

    Hello!

Welcome to the forum, we try and help folks when they have questions or problems.πŸ™‚
  13. Check out the builds section of this forum, different tires some on stock rims and some on aftermarket.πŸ™‚
  14. There are several posts on here about how much electrical load you can add, they should be in the builds section. You might want to read and get a good grip on what size of stator your machine has vs all the electrical you have plans for before you spend the money. Enjoy the machine and welcome to the forum.πŸ™‚
  15. Do you have a remote cord that you can plug in the front (under the front panel on the hood or near the winch) if yes plug it in and see if the winch is back to normal. If yes than you should check your dash switch first, pop it out and check for continuity from the center tab to the top or bottom depending where the switch is for retracting the winch. No continuity replace the switch. Here is a diagram from the shop manual, good luck.πŸ™‚
  16. I carry a small tire pump (12v or mechanical) and some tireject and a patch kit, I have never had a flat on the trail since the quads first came out after the 3 wheelers but have helped a few other riders in our group reinflate their tires. We ride in remote areas where bumping into someone is unlikely.πŸ™‚

You can start by increasing the tension on your rear springs, this is free, easy to do if you jack up the rear end and use the wrench. Check out the operators manual.πŸ˜‰
  18. The shifter linkage is a cable and is fairly stiff when new, so its possible not to be in park when the indicator shows it is. The defender will start in any shifter position, if you step on the brake pedal so that it is what i do first.πŸ˜‰
  19. Sorry to hear about your problems, you may want to trade it on something more durable.πŸ™‚
  20. Once you upgrade to the 30" you will find that the machine becomes more snow capable.πŸ™‚
  21. Looks like the torsion spring end is sticking out, I'm not sure why, so I would take a punch or piece of wood and try and tap the end in enough that you can screw in the adaptor and than screw in the pin to release the belt. After that I would disassemble the secondary so that you can have a look at the spring, it may be broken or twisted? My 2019 has a compression spring(no tabs) and is very easy to disassemble.πŸ™‚
  22. I would take the machine to a dealer and have them check it with Buds, it should show what sensor is activating the check engine light.πŸ€”
  23. If you are talking about the pop rivets you can get those at the dealer or take one with you to a hardware store or nut and bolt dealer where you can match yours to get the right ones. If you can't get the black ones just use a touch of spray paint. If you want to look up the part numbers look under accessories on the BRP site for the fender flares and if they show what is in the package great if not have a look under the installation instructions they may show the rivet part number there.πŸ™‚
  24. Have a look in the builds section where you can see what some of the options actually give you. You can start by cranking your springs to max and that is free. Good luck with your choice.πŸ™‚
