  1. It sounds like you have a leak in the master cylinder, I tried to look online to see if there was a master cylinder repair kit but it said not available I would suggest a call to your dealer to see if they can get one for you after they check your sxs to make sure its not something else that you haven't seen. It may be something as simple as an "0" ring, brake fluid is very hard on paint so make sure you use water to clean it and catch the drips as best you can.🙂
  2. Stiffer rear springs as suggested will help reduce the rear sag, maximum air pressure in all tires should help reduce the roll or side to side movement of the vehicle. Wheel spacers 1" will only move your wheels out 2" and increase the torque on your bearings because the load is suspended further from the bearing. It sounds like you are top heavy and maxed out on the rear springs so you can try some stiffer rear springs, reduce the load by carrying less water and use maximum tire pressure. If your sidewall on the tire rolls a lot with that weight,🤔 shop around for a tire with a stiffer sidewall?
  3. I have the 30" Cryptid on my 2019 Cab XT HD10 and the tires do give you a definite low speed vibration and increase in noise but they work great in the snow and pretty good in the mud.😉
  4. There are several threads on here including mine where we put sound insulation (after market) on. I am not sure if anyone has tried the panel that you refer to perhaps they will chime in.🙂
  5. I'm not sure I can help much but here goes: 1) When you turn the key on but don't engage the starter do you hear the fuel pump cycle, if yes than you engage the starter will the engine start and run fine? Checking the fuel pump pressure it should be about 51 psi +/- 1 psi. and the pressure should not bleed off immediately. 2) When you do your initial cold start do you turn the key on and pause for a second or two or do you engage the starter all in one motion. If your fuel system has bled off pressure while sitting and you try and start it may not have enough fuel pressure to the injectors for the proper mixture and dies from a lean condition. It sounds like you have a cold start problem that could be caused by a leaking injector or fuel leak if the system holds pressure than it might be an ECM issue that isn't reading your air temperature correctly (air temp sensor)? 3) If the engine runs well after it is warm including at WOT than I would look for a slow leak in the fuel rail, hose or injectors, if those are fine and no leaks are detected it may be a defective fuel pump. SWAG on my part. Good luck with the diagnostic on the fuel pressure system, there is a flow chart for troubleshooting the system. Were there any codes when the dealer checked the machine? 🤔
  6. Welcome to the forum that is a pretty nice defunder for sure.😉
  7. For those of you who do not blow fuses after adding more accessories but your lights go out after a few minutes and then come back on, its possible that you hooked up to the winch power posts that are protected by two 50 Amp. circuit breakers that open when overloaded and close again when they cool down. Solution: find the correct power points to hook up to and learn to manage the load, don't turn everything on at once.😉
  8. I need a picture of the muffler, even if the exhaust was partially or completely plugged the amount of pressure required to expand a muffler would kill the engine before the pressure could be produced. Is the engine running okey?🙂
  9. On my 2019 I put 2019 Cryptid 30x10x14 on the front and 30x11x14 on the rear with no arms and a very slight lift and no rub or difference in turning radius.(in my build thread) Now with 34" you are 2 + " taller (radius) so that may not be a useful comparison for turning radius?🤔
  10. If you have found a machine at the dealership that you are interested in take your family with you load it up and take it for a spin that will answer your question best. I am confident that the HD8 will be fine but its your money.😉
  11. What model is your 2021 that came with the winch? I found the wiring diagram for the XT Cab model and it does not show a 3 prong connector in the harness. Did yours come with the 3 prong connector wired in or are you trying to make that connection now? What make and size is your winch? In the 2019 and previous years some models came with the remote switch connector included in the wiring harness under the front hood, all I had to do was buy the male plug in part from can am and everything worked. If you are trying to make the connection for a wired remote control into your wiring harness the easiest place may be right behind the winch switch in the dash. Prong 2 is where you connect the power wire (Red/black) and "in" is the grn/blu and "out" is the light blue. This will place your remote control in parallel with the dash switch. The power and rotation of the winch is provided by the winch relay so this connection is between the dash and the winch relay. I can post a page out of the shop manual to help you visualize the wiring if that would help. If you are trying to use a wireless remote than you will need to get info from the winch manufacturer or your dealer. There is some info showing the wiring in the parts section of can am where you can search by year, make and model?🤔
  12. The 2019 HD10 Cab XT has different axles than other defenders that might work but I would contact the company you bought the arms from and ask them for their recommendation, hopefully someone like Damon or SATV Rhino 2 will fit without having to go to the expense of the gorillas?😉
  13. Welcome to the forum, there are a whole bunch of build threads some with pics and process that you can check out for ideas and when the budget catches up to the ideas.😉

The electrical changed in 2020 and there is a bus under the front hood panel as well as under the dash:https://can-am-shop.brp.com/off-road/ca/en/shop/sales/parts/ select the year, model for NA front section electrical and you will see a schematic for the different areas hopefully you will find what you need. In the 2019 under the dash and in the cab model under the front liner near the wiper the bus bars have a black plastic piece you pull off and it reveals the nuts that you can tie onto below. Make sure you select "key on" or hot direct from the battery depending on what you are wiring and use a fuse for each item you tie on so that you don't blow the main fuses. There may be some pictures in the builds section from different threads. In the 2019 and previous the under dash bus was real hard to access if you had the heater option, it is located to the right of the ignition switch behind the two switch panels that you can remove by carefully prying with a flat blade screw driver. A voltmeter will help you find the right terminals.🙂
  15. Thanks for the update, both fluids looked like they had water in them the right hand one for sure. Since your describe fairly normal trail riding did you check the vent lines from the front and rear diff to make sure one or both hadn't come off or torn? I realize you changed the fuids a year ago. Normal color for the used diff fluid is dark almost black, lightly used may still appear dark green? Your note on the Ford friction modifier is interesting since the visco lok front end dosen't have any sliding clutches per se and the visco part is sealed with its own high viscosity fluid which activates the movement to apply more force left or right. The friction modifier was used in pickup rear (Ford, GMC and Dodge) ends when they chattered going around a corner for example. Good to hear everything sounds normal a year later.🙂
  16. I purchased the accessories at a discount to retail price at the time of purchase of the machine but I did all the installs myself. If the dealer is doing the installs than you can try and negotiate the price down a bit but good luck with that.😉
  17. Pretty country, no flat tires or do you have to stay on the trails?😉
  18. Was the fuse holder provided with the light kit? If yes than the wire size, the fuse holder and fuse should be correct for the amp draw of the light bar. If you provided the fuse holder and fuse you may have installed one that is too small for wire size and fuse holder size. Check the amp draw or watts of the light bar in the instructions or possibly printed on the box for eg. if you have 40 led and they are 3 watts you would have 120 watts draw divided by 12 volts would require at least a 10 amp fuse. Is there a chance that when you installed the light bar your wiring is chaffing against a metal hole or steel somewhere that creates occasional contact causing sparks and increasing your amp draw blowing your fuse or holder?🤔
  19. If you can't reach it to work on from the passenger side with the box up, than you may be able to access it from the inside of the cab. There was an access panel (2019) in the center of the seats on the cab model held in place with push pins which could be removed and slid towards the passenger seat to give you access to the front cylinder head? 🤔 Perhaps someone who has this model can provide further insite?
  20. If the engine is running normally and no codes than you are probably good to go?🙂
  21. I should add that most dealers don't charge for installation of small items, but if you were going to have the lights, stereo etc. installed they may be trying to cover some of the labor? What was their explanation?😉
  22. The secondary has 2 rollers that the cam rides on that allows the secondary to open and close as the primary and engine rpm and load change. You can remove the secondary by unscrewing the bolt that holds it in (pull the clutch towards you) and than you should be able to see the two rollers on the back side. You might be able to see the rollers by using a mirror and light without removing the clutch? If you haven't worked on the secondary before I would suggest a trip to the dealer to replace the rollers if they are flattened or broken, replace both. The screw holding the roller is held in place by a roll pin that may not be real easy to remove.🤔
  23. I can't answer for everyone but for me no, under normal driving conditions no but if you are in the muskeg and get deep you can get the vegetation flow into and over parts of the engine and if it got on the exhaust components than it could start to smolder and catch fire. After every deep trip its a good idea to pick off as much of the muskeg by hand and do a wash/rinse of the engine/transmission area with a garden hose, not a high pressure washer to remove the remaining material as well as check the oil cooler and the radiator.😉
  24. No the items online are already at retail and because of supply and demand I can see them selling for full retail but not above?🤔
  25. The Defender line up usually has incentives in early Spring to get the sales started, however, if you have use for it through the winter, now is as good a time as any if you can find what you want.😉
